Quality Assurance Officer – Reactive Maintenance

Location: Stratford

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out desktop quality assurance checks on completed work orders, including validation of SOR coding, supporting evidence, and compliance
• Conduct post‑inspections and ensure any follow‑on works are tracked through to completion
• Review and validate variations and SOR claims for both direct labour and subcontractors
• Monitor subcontractor performance, including cost control and materials usage
• Support operational teams with diary management, scheduling, and process improvements
• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation to meet audit requirements
• Analyse performance data to identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
• Provide technical and procedural support to internal teams and client representatives

Requirements

• Proven experience within reactive maintenance, ideally in social housing
• Strong understanding of SOR coding, variations, and commercial validation processes
• Knowledge of compliance standards, including health and safety, asbestos awareness, and audit requirements
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to review and challenge work orders effectively
• Good technical knowledge of housing repairs and maintenance
