Transformation Project Manager (Recovery Focus) 3-month contract (Outside IR35) Start: May 2026 Location: Hampshire/Dorset area (x2 days onsite per week) Market Rates The Opportunity: You will be stepping into a project that’s off track. Limited time. High accountability. This is a short-term recovery brief requiring someone who can diagnose quickly, restore control and drive delivery without adding noise. A client program requires a technically savvy technical, hands-on Project Manager to take ownership of a struggling technology programme and implement a structured recovery plan. You will need experience from associated, regulated infrastructure projects e.g. Water, Electricity, Highways, Rail, Telecoms, etc. What you’ll be doing: Assess current state of delivery, risks and failure points Identify root causes across technical, operational and stakeholder layers Re-establish governance, control and delivery confidence Define and execute a clear, realistic recovery plan Challenge technical assumptions and engage credibly with engineering teams Provide clear, structured reporting to senior stakeholders What’s required: Proven experience recovering failing or delayed technology projects Strong technical grounding – able to operate credibly with engineers Demonstrable track record of turnaround delivery under pressure Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis capability Experience in regulated environments (e.g. Transport, Utilities, Telecoms, Rail, etc.) Ability to operate with urgency, clarity, and minimal oversight Additional value: Exposure to test environments (labs, test track, etc.) Further information: Please contact Simon Mattock here at ISR Recruitment on 07931 335 414 or email me a copy of your CV (simon@isr.uk.com) for a confidential call in the first instance?41bf1e1f-b16b-4260-a40a-17c77a06fd15…
