Job Title: Fire & Security Systems Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fire & Security Systems Engineer to join a growing and professional technical team. This role involves the installation, maintenance, servicing, and fault diagnosis of a range of electronic security and life-safety systems across commercial and residential sites. The successful candidate will be committed to high standards of workmanship, customer service, and compliance, with strong technical knowledge and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of fire and security systems
  • Fault finding and repair across multiple system types
  • Working on systems including (but not limited to):
    • Fire alarm systems
    • Intruder alarms
    • CCTV systems
    • Access control systems
    • Door entry and associated communications systems
  • Completing works in line with relevant British Standards and regulations
  • Accurately completing job reports and documentation
  • Providing a professional and customer-focused service on-site
  • Participating in an on-call rota (split into days, not weeks)

Working Hours

08:00 – 16:30

Overtime paid at 1.5× when working past contracted hours on weekdays

Paid travel time for journeys exceeding 30 minutes each way

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience working with fire and/or security systems
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Good understanding of industry standards and regulations
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professional attitude with strong communication skills
