Lead Flight Test Engineer
Make an impact on advanced flight test and airborne evaluation programmes while developing your career in aerospace engineering within a highly specialist defence aviation environment. You will work at the centre of engineering, test and operational delivery supporting mission critical aviation capability.
Must have eligibility
British citizenship due to security requirements
Qualification as a Flight Test Engineer from a recognised Flight Test Training Organisation
Proven experience delivering flight test programmes across multiple aircraft types
Salary and rewards
£80,000 to £100,000
What you will be doing
Leading flight test planning, execution and reporting across a varied aerospace fleet
Developing test strategies, procedures and certification plans for complex airborne systems
Working closely with design, engineering and test teams to support safe modification and evaluation activities
Managing flight test risk and ensuring compliance with aviation regulatory frameworks
Supporting technical reporting and certification outputs that inform operational readiness decisions
Skills and experience
Strong background in flight test engineering within aerospace or defence aviation environments
Experience delivering multi aircraft test programmes in regulated environments
Understanding of flight test instrumentation and data acquisition systems is beneficial
Ability to work effectively with engineering, design and test pilot teams
Strong communication skills with experience influencing technical stakeholders
