Brightsmith is pleased to partner with an innovative organisation within the clean technology sector, seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support and develop advanced manufacturing.
This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and performance of manufacturing assets while supporting the development, installation, and commissioning of new equipment and processes.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes across manufacturing equipment and production assets.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and carry out fault diagnosis and repairs.
- Support the development, installation, and commissioning of new manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Implement equipment modifications and upgrades to improve reliability and process efficiency.
- Coordinate service visits and manage external contractors and suppliers.
- Manage critical spare parts inventory to minimise operational downtime.
- Ensure manufacturing equipment is maintained to the highest operational standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
Requirements:
Essential
- Experience using CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems).
- Fault-finding experience on PLC-based equipment.
- Fault-finding experience on mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Experience working with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Experience working with Permit to Work systems and RAMS.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Desirable
- Experience supporting manufacturing process development activities and commissioning new equipment
- Data-driven approach to equipment reliability and continuous improvement.
- Experience managing contractors and external suppliers.
- Exposure to advanced manufacturing, industrial automation, clean technology, hydrogen, fuel cell, or related engineering sectors.
