Land Agent

North-East Midlands

An excellent opportunity has arisen with a well-established and growing rural property business for a Land Agent to join their team.

This is a diverse role offering exposure to a broad mix of rural estate management, development work, and infrastructure projects. The position can be tailored to suit the successful individual, making it ideal for someone looking to expand their experience across multiple sectors.

The Role

You will work as part of a close-knit team managing a varied rural portfolio, with responsibilities including:

  • Day-to-day estate and property management across agricultural and wider property assets
  • Lease renewals, rent reviews and negotiation of agreements
  • Involvement in utility and infrastructure schemes
  • Supporting renewable energy and development projects
  • Assisting with residential property, planning and land promotion work
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental, legal and health & safety requirements
  • Supporting strategic estate initiatives and project delivery

About You

Applications are welcomed from candidates with circa 18 months to 15+ years’ experience, with flexibility around level.

You may come from:

  • Rural surveying or estate management
  • Infrastructure, utilities or land access
  • A transactional property background (sales, options, leases, negotiations)

This role would particularly suit someone looking to diversify their experience into a broader rural and development-focused position.

Desirable (not essential):

  • MRICS / AssocRICS
  • Experience in infrastructure, CPO or renewable energy projects
  • Understanding of landowner relations and land access requirements

Key skills:

  • Able to manage workload independently
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Collaborative and team-oriented
  • Full UK driving licence
