Legal Manager -Solicitor (Edgewing) The role could be contracted to any BAE Systems site (preferably Frimley) but on commencement will immediately be assigned to our Edgewing JV in the Reading area. A financial support package may be available to enable this assignment if required, dependent on certain criteria being met. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role within the Chief Legal and Compliance Officers function, supporting the Head of Legal in shaping how legal support is delivered across the businessparticularly in relation to bids, contracting, and the effective management of legal risk. Youll be closely involved in both national and international bids, helping to review, draft, negotiate, and interpret bid documentation while identifying potential legal and contractual risks and advising on practical mitigation strategies. Working collaboratively with internal teams, youll help ensure compliance with bid requirements and safeguard the companys interests, including preparing essential corporate documentation for submission. Beyond bids, youll support the full lifecycle of commercial contracts, from drafting and negotiation through to execution, covering a wide range of agreements such as NDAs, MOUs, teaming and consortium agreements, and technology transfer arrangements. Youll also contribute to procurement activities, helping to develop robust supplier contracts that align with customer commitments and embed strong risk management practices, while supporting negotiations with key suppliers and partners.
