Role Purpose
To be the welcoming face of the Great Foods Reading office and to keep it organised and running smoothly. You will manage front-of-house, product samples, office supplies, attendance records, filing and general administration, giving the sales team a well-run base to operate from.
Key Responsibilities
• Front of house: greet visitors, answer and direct incoming calls, and handle incoming and outgoing post and couriers.
• Sample management: receive, log, label, store, dispatch and track product samples, and coordinate with the sales team on sample requests and follow-ups.
• Office supplies: monitor stock levels, reorder, manage supplier deliveries, and keep stationery and kitchen supplies replenished.
• Attendance: maintain accurate staff attendance and absence records and flag any issues.
• Organisation and filing: keep physical and digital filing accurate and up to date, and keep the office tidy and well organised.
• General administration: support the team with scheduling, document preparation, data entry and meeting-room coordination.
• Support basic office housekeeping, health and safety and facilities tasks.
Person Specification
Essential
• Highly organised, reliable and detail-oriented.
• Warm, professional communication and telephone manner.
• Competent with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Able to multitask, prioritise and work independently.
• Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
• Previous reception, office administration or coordinator experience.
• Experience handling samples, stock or inventory.
• Exposure to the food or manufacturing sector.
Remuneration & Benefits
• £12.80 per hour, paid monthly.
• Part-time, 3 days per week (days by agreement).
• Holiday entitlement of 5.6 weeks per year including bank holidays, pro-rated for part-time hours.
