Maintenance Officer – Part Time

Pay Rate: £20.00 per hour PAYE Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am 5:00pm Contract: 6-Month Temporary Assignment DBS Requirement: Basic DBS Required Driving Requirement: Full UK Driving Licence and DVLA Check Required We are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Officer to support a local authority property team undertaking inspections and condition surveys across a range of external assets including garages, roads, forecourts, paved areas, brickwork and general street scene infrastructure. This role combines site-based inspections with office-based reporting and would suit candidates with experience in property maintenance, building surveying, inspections, estates maintenance or construction-related environments. Carry out condition inspections of garages, roads, forecourts and associated external assets Identify defects, dilapidations and maintenance requirements Undertake surveys using appropriate inspection and surveying techniques Produce accurate Schedules of Condition and inspection reports Prepare spreadsheets and maintenance records to support future works programmes Assess asset condition and provide recommendations for repair or maintenance Work independently whilst conducting site inspections Ensure inspections are completed in accordance with health and safety requirements HNC or HND in Building Studies, Construction, Surveying or a related discipline, or significant relevant experience (typically 10+ years) Experience carrying out property, building or condition inspections Understanding of surveying techniques and inspection processes Good IT skills including Microsoft Excel and reporting systems Full UK driving licence 20.00 per hour PAYE~Mix of site and office-based work~ Opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of local authority assets…
