Several Mechanical Design Engineers are wanted on a permanent basis by a global Engineering client of ours who is at the forefront of their industry. In this role, the successful candidate will ultimately be responsible for the execution of design solutions within a multi-discipline engineering team, supporting product development for the company
.This is a permanent opportunity that includes a base salary of between £38,000 – £53,000 dependent upon experience and qualifications plus bonuses and benefit

- te.Be accountable for the design and development of sub-assemblies of a product ensuring the specified quality and cost are achieved to the agreed task time sca
- le.Accountable for the detailed documentation of the design (models, drawings, design data, BOM, test data) ensuring all relevant information is recorded in a timely manner in accordan
ce.
Key skills required for the Mechanical Design Engineer
- role:A solid Mechanically biased engineering degree (or other relevant engineering qualification with a few years post-graduation industry experie
- nce).Previous experience in product development as well as design for manufacture/design for asse
- mbly.Experience in the use of a range of engineering materials and with several manufacturing methods/techni
- ques.3D and 2D CAD skills (e.g. CATIA, AutoCAD, SolidWorks
- etc).An understanding of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and system schema
