Studio Manager
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced and versatile full-time Hair and Makeup Artist to support our
George E-Commerce studio in London. This role is responsible for delivering professional hair
and makeup services for George’s menswear and womenswear shoots, ensuring models are
prepared to a high standard and aligned with the brand guidelines. The ideal candidate will
demonstrate confidence and expertise working across diverse skin tones and all hair types
(textures and lengths).
Please note that this role is studio-based, with the potential to work on campaigns and social
shoots across London and the M25, five days per week.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Produce a great standard of makeup and hair styling that is true to the George aesthetic and appeals to the customer.
• Be prepared to work to deadlines, ensuring your models are shoot ready on time.
• Work with the wider shoot team to solve any issues on set and help facilitate a smooth shoot process.
• Take on feedback constructively, with an ability to critique your own work efficiently.
• Full understanding of the George customer and target audience
• Maintaining/ cleaning equipment and products daily to ensure a professional & sanitary
working environment.
• Work collaboratively with photographers, stylists, producers, and studio team to
maximise each models potential and create the best shoot experience.
• Maintain hair and makeup throughout shoots, ensuring models remain camera-ready at
all times.
• Monitor consistency of hair and makeup across all imagery.
• Perform regular touch-ups and adjustments between shots
• Research and mood boarding current hair and make-up trends.
• Ad hoc support around the studio when no model shoots are taking place.
• Adapt styling to suit different product categories, model looks, and creative
requirements.
SKILLS
is highly desirable.
• Proven experience as a Hair and Makeup Artist working within high-volume fashion e-commerce studios.
• Strong experience working with men and women’s hair and makeup.
• Demonstrated ability to work confidently with all hair types, textures, and diverse model backgrounds.
• Experience in men’s barbering, including basic cutting, grooming, and beard trimming,
