Summary

We’re seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a technically complex and highly regulated programme, working from either Somerset or Bristol. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in dynamic environments and has proven experience managing large-scale engineering or construction projects. Salary

£85,000

Location and Working Pattern

Somerset or Bristol office, 2 days per week on-site (Tuesday and Thursday), with flexibility to work remotely on other days.

Responsibilities

  • Drive successful delivery of the contract or package to ensure all activities meet safety, quality, time, and budget requirements.
  • Monitor project progress against milestones, deadlines, and budgets, and report to stakeholders.
  • Oversee Tier 1 and broader supply chain to maintain nuclear safety standards and manage quality during manufacturing.
  • Implement and manage change control processes including scope, business justification, and governance approvals.
  • Prepare and maintain project schedules aligned with overall programme timelines, applying principles of Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Resolve issues through proactive risk management and facilitate solutions to maintain delivery performance.
  • Administer contracts and liaise with commercial teams on variations, claims, and contractual matters.
  • Ensure effective communication and stakeholder engagement across all project phases.

Must-have Requirements

  • Demonstrable track record of delivering projects within technically complex, highly regulated environments (ideally Nuclear Energy or similar).
  • Strong stakeholder engagement experience across multiple groups.
  • Proven management skills, including project, financial, and change management, as well as facilitation capabilities.
  • Proficiency with estimating, scheduling, programming, and risk management tools.
  • Experience managing contractors, consultants, and advisors on large projects using NEC or FIDIC contracts.
