Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead high-voltage substation and energy infrastructure projects from initiation through to successful handover
- Location: England / Wales / Scotland / Northern Ireland
- Salary: Competitive (DOE)
- Full-time, 45 hours per week
National Grid project delivery experience is essential for success in this role.
The Client
Founded in 2009, our client specialises in the design, installation, and commissioning of high-voltage substation systems up to 400kV. They work with National Grid, DNOs, iDNOs, and renewable energy providers across the UK, delivering projects including 33/11kV and 132/33kV turnkey substations, BESS installations up to 67MW, and large-scale solar PV developments.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading HV substation and energy infrastructure projects from planning through to completion
- Acting as the primary point of contact for National Grid project teams and stakeholders
- Managing project budgets, programmes, risks, and subcontractor performance
- Ensuring compliance with National Grid technical standards, CDM regulations, and H&S requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience delivering projects within a National Grid environment
- Strong track record managing large-scale transmission, distribution, or utility infrastructure projects
- Excellent commercial awareness and health & safety knowledge
- PMP and/or PRINCE2 qualifications desirable
