The Role We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Legal Support Assistant to join our Private Client team in Maidenhead.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous legal support experience who enjoys being the backbone of a busy team. We’re looking for an individual who takes pride in providing exceptional administrative support, enjoys building strong relationships with colleagues and clients, and is looking to establish a long-term career in a Legal Support Assistant role.
The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the department while supporting fee earners with a broad range of private client matters.
- Key ResponsibilitiesProviding comprehensive administrative support to the Private Client team.
- Preparing, formatting and amending legal documents and correspondence.
- Managing diaries, appointments and meeting arrangements.
- Opening new client files and maintaining accurate records using the firm’s case management system.
- Handling incoming calls and emails, taking messages and responding where appropriate.
- Liaising professionally with clients, third parties and other departments.
- Preparing client packs and documentation for meetings.
- Assisting with billing, file management and general administrative tasks.
- Ensuring documents are filed accurately and in line with compliance procedures.
Skills & ExperienceEssential:
- A minimum of 6 months’ experience working in a legal support, legal secretary or legal assistant role.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- A professional, friendly and client-focused approach.
Desirable:
- Previous experience within Private Client law.
- Experience using a legal case management system.
