Are you an ambitious engineer looking to take the next step in your career?
We’re seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with around 2-3 years of industry experience who is eager to learn, develop new skills, and contribute to the manufacture of cutting-edge propulsion systems used in highly demanding aerospace and defence applications.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly experienced engineering team where you’ll receive structured training, mentoring and exposure to a wide variety of manufacturing engineering activities. We’re looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong problem-solving skills and a genuine enthusiasm for engineering and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Be Doing
Working alongside experienced engineers and manufacturing teams, you will:
- Support the development and improvement of manufacturing methods, processes and work instructions.
- Assist with investigating and resolving production and manufacturing issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, cost and delivery.
- Support the design and implementation of tooling, fixtures and manufacturing aids.
- Help identify and remove production bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Assist with the introduction of new equipment, processes and technologies.
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Work closely with Production, Quality and Engineering teams to ensure products are manufactured efficiently and safely.
- Participate in root cause investigations and problem-solving activities.
- Support the monitoring of manufacturing performance and key process metrics.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Approximately 2-3 years’ experience within a manufacturing, production or engineering environment.
- A genuine interest in manufacturing processes and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work.
- Enthusiasm to learn, develop and take on new challenges.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Desirable
- Exposure to lean manufacturing principles such as 5S, Kaizen, Kanban or Value Stream Mapping.
- Experience working within a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO 9001.
- Knowledge of manufacturing process improvement techniques.
- Experience supporting engineering or manufacturing projects.
