Senior Property Litigation Solicitor (7+ PQE)

Working pattern: Hybrid

Reporting to: Director of Legal and Head of Litigation

Overview:

An experienced Property Litigation Solicitor is required to provide high-level legal support, with a focus on dispute resolution, litigation, and risk mitigation. The role requires strong expertise in landlord and tenant matters and a working knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key legal advisor, taking instruction from senior stakeholders and supporting wider business functions
  • Manage a varied caseload of property litigation matters independently, from pre-action through to trial and advocacy where required
  • Provide support on building safety and other property-related disputes
  • Instruct and liaise with external counsel, monitoring costs and obtaining necessary approvals
  • Advise internal teams on property legislation, regulatory compliance, and risk
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and case management systems
  • Manage deadlines effectively and safeguard business interests
  • Draft and review legal documents, policies, and procedures
  • Supervise and support junior team members, including delegating work as appropriate

Skills & Experience – Essential:

  • Qualified Solicitor or Barrister in England & Wales with a current practising certificate
  • Significant experience in residential landlord & tenant litigation (long leasehold focus) and commercial litigation
  • Experience advising on the Building Safety Act 2022
  • Proven ability to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills
  • Experience of advocacy before courts or tribunals
  • Exposure to conveyancing, property acquisitions, or property finance matters
  • Experience in company/commercial transactions
  • Knowledge of GDPR legislation
