Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cabinet Maker role based in Leigh. The Cabinet Maker will interpret technical drawings, measure and cut materials, assemble cabinetry and millwork components, and finish surfaces to a high standard. Daily tasks include operating woodworking machinery and hand tools, performing quality checks, and collaborating with designers and installers to ensure accurate fit and finish. The role also involves maintaining a clean and safe workshop, organizing materials, and assisting with on-site installation when required. The successful candidate will work closely with the production team to meet project deadlines while maintaining consistent craftsmanship.
Qualifications
- Strong practical skills in Cabinetry and Carpentry for custom and standard builds.
- Experience with Woodworking and Millwork, including use of hand tools and machinery.
- Ability to read plans and apply Spatial Design concepts to layout, fit, and installation.
- Attention to detail, strong measurement and math skills, and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Understanding of workshop safety practices and proper tool and equipment handling.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication skills.
- Prior experience as a Cabinet Maker or in a similar joinery role; relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship is preferred.
