Job Title: Storekeeper
Location: Glasgow
We are working with a leading UK rocket launch provider that is looking to recruit a Storekeeper on an initial 12-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing space company developing launch vehicle technology. You’ll play a key role in ensuring materials and components are received, stored and issued efficiently to support production and testing activities.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect and book in deliveries against purchase orders.
- Pick, pack and issue materials and components to production teams.
- Maintain accurate stock records using the ERP system.
- Carry out regular cycle counts and stock audits.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
- Ensure full traceability of parts, materials and documentation.
- Store materials safely and in line with company procedures.
- Prepare goods for dispatch, including packaging and shipping documentation.
- Work closely with Production, Purchasing, Quality and Logistics teams to ensure materials are available when required.
- Monitor stock levels and highlight shortages to the Purchasing team.
- Support continuous improvement within the stores function.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Follow all quality, health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Storekeeper, Stores Operative, Material Controller or Warehouse Operative within an engineering, manufacturing, aerospace or automotive environment.
- Experience using an ERP/MRP system (SAP experience is advantageous).
- Good understanding of inventory management and stock control.
- Experience handling engineering components and technical parts.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise work in a fast-paced environment.
- Forklift licence is desirable.
