ROLE- Sales Engineer

LOCATION- Stevenage

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £35,000- £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience

The Sales Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• Degree qualified in an Engineering subject
• Have a background in Design/ Mechanical Engineering or a similar role
• Ideally be experienced in Technical Sales, with knowledge of quotations, technical specifications and orders
• Be keen to develop as part of an organisation long term
• Good time management skills
• Be self-motivated and driven
• Proficient with using Microsoft Office – any CRM database knowledge would be a plus
• Excellent communication skills are required
• Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team

The Sales Engineer role will involve:

• Working directly with customers to understand their requirements and produce quotations and orders
• Understanding the technical side of how their bespoke systems are designed and built
• Being involved in processing and progressing sales
• Reacting to inquiries
• Investigating and resolving sales enquiries from both customers and distributors
• Offering a proactive Account Management approach for Distributors and updating customers at regular stages
• Handling queries and visiting customer sites when required
• Liaising with different departments and colleagues as required
• Attending trade shows as and when required
• Having the opportunity to grow with the company long term
