Salary:31,537 – 33,699 pro rata

We areseekinga highly organised and proactive individual to provide essential financial and administrative support to the Farming in Protected Landscapes (FiPL) programme within Cranborne Chase National Landscape. Working closely with the National Landscape Director,FiPLOfficer and Wiltshire Council finance team, you will play a key role in ensuring the effective day-to-day delivery of this nationally important programme. Responsibilities include managing project finances,monitoringbudgets, processing payments and claims, and ensuring compliance with Defra and Rural Payments Agency requirements. You will prepare grant agreements,maintainaccuraterecords, and complete regular monitoring returns.

The Cranborne Chase National Landscape is a nationally protected landscape, recognised as one of the UKs finest and equal in landscape status to a National Park. Hosted by Wiltshire Council and overseen by a partnership of fourteen organisations including the five constituent local authorities, the National Landscape Team works collaboratively to conserve and enhance the area. It delivers a statutory five-year Management Plan and this Defra-funded programme runs to March 2029, supporting farmers and landowners to secure grants thatbenefitnature, climate,peopleand place.

You will act as secretariat for the Local Assessment Panel, organising meetings, preparing papers, and takingaccurateand detailed minutes to support decision-making. Following grant approval, you will work closely with theFiPLOfficer to prepare pro forma legal grant agreements. Alongside administering applications,maintainingdatabases, and supporting financial reporting, you will deliver excellent customer service to farmers and land managers, responding to enquiries and supporting project delivery. The role requires flexibility, including assisting at events andmaintainingclose collaboration with the National Landscape team. This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a successful programme supporting conservation and enhancing a nationally protected landscape.
