Consultant Psychiatrist

West London NHS Trust is delighted to announce a full‑time substantive consultant liaison psychiatry post based in West Middlesex University Hospital, a London teaching DGH.

The post holder will join a settled, close‑knit, well‑led, PLAN‑accredited team of 2.8 whole‑time equivalent consultants.

We are looking for ambitious consultants with excellent clinical and leadership skills, excited to work with our vibrant population and high‑calibre partners to deliver quality care and to inspire and up‑skill colleagues.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing clinical expertise to the liaison service team in assessing and managing patients in the hospital.
• Developing training for hospital teams and contributing to the development of hospital systems to improve patient care.
• Building relationships with colleagues in the acute trust and contributing to the trust‑wide liaison psychiatry senior management team.
• Collaborating with the Trust‑wide liaison psychiatry senior management team to deliver broader strategic developments and clinical governance of the service.

The post requires strong communication skills and a record of building partnerships with a range of professionals.
