Our Client a well established global manufacturer are looking for a HR Generalist to join their business in Tamworth, UK on a 12 Fixed Term Contract (benefits included) The company has over 60 years’ experience providing precision-engineered products in industrial applications with its internationally recognised brands sold in over 90 countries across the world. The European division of the company is headquartered in Ireland, with additional operations in Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the UK and the USA.

The HR Generalist (UK) provides operational HR support across the business unit primarily, within a multinational structure. The role ensures local HR practices comply with local employment legislation while supporting alignment with global policies, systems, and people strategies. The position partners with regional HR teams and local leadership to deliver consistent, people focused HR solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Support recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes in coordination with global HR teams
  • Administer employment contracts, probation reviews, and employee documentation in line with Irish employment law
  • Manage exit processes and conduct exit interviews

Employee Relations & Case Management

  • Act as a first point of contact for employee relations queries
  • Advise managers on disciplinary, grievance, performance, and absence management matters
  • Support investigations and hearings as required

Compliance & Policy

  • Ensure HR policies comply with local employment legislation
  • Maintain employee data in compliance with EU GDPR and corporate data governance standards
  • Support internal compliance reviews and audits

Compensation, Payroll & Benefits

  • Support payroll administration, statutory leave, and benefits coordination
  • Assist with benefits administration, including pension schemes and statutory leave entitlements

Performance, Learning & Engagement

  • Support performance review cycles and career development initiatives
  • Assist with learning, training, and employee engagement programmes aligned with global HR priorities
  • Promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture

Reporting & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Prepare HR metrics and management reports for local and regional stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with regional and global HR teams to ensure consistency of HR practices

Skills & Experience

  • Ability to operate within a matrix, multi-country HR structure
  • Strong communication, advisory, and organisational skills
  • Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practice
  • Experience supporting employee relations in a corporate or multinational environment
  • Experience working with HRIS platforms

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent (preferred)
  • Continuous professional development in employment law (preferred but not essential)
