rooms is looking for a Product Development & Production Coordinator to manage the end-
to-end lifecycle of collections, from initial range planning through to final delivery. This role is responsible for translating creative concepts into commercially viable, high-quality products
by overseeing sourcing, development, production, and logistics. Working closely with the
Freelance Creative Director and Founders, this role owns all operational, technical, and
commercial execution.
Key Responsibilities:
• Range Planning & Commercial Setup – Build and structure initial range plans across
categories, pricing, and margin frameworks, ensuring commercial viability before
handing over to the Creative Director
• Post-Design Development Handover – Translate finalised designs and creative
direction into actionable, cost-aligned development plans with clear feasibility
• Supplier & Factory Sourcing – Source and onboard suppliers and factories while
negotiating pricing, minimums, lead times, and ensuring quality and compliance
standards
• Fabric, Trim & Material Sourcing – Source all fabrics, trims, and components in line
with cost, quality, and performance requirements
• Tech Pack Creation & Product Development – Create and issue detailed tech packs
while managing ongoing supplier communication throughout development
• Costing & Margin Management – Conduct full costing exercises (FOB, landed,
margin) and align with retail and e-commerce pricing strategies
• Sampling Management – Oversee all sampling stages, tracking timelines and
managing the critical path from initial samples to PPS
• Fit Sessions & Product Refinement – Organise fit sessions, capture feedback, and
resolve product issues to ensure optimal fit and quality
• Product Development Meetings – Schedule and run meetings, documenting notes
and tracking actions to ensure progress
• Pre-Production & Bulk Production – Approve PPS, raise purchase orders, and
oversee bulk production through to completion
• Quality Control & Compliance – Manage quality control processes, lab testing, and
ensure all compliance standards are met
• Labelling, Packaging & Product Finalisation – Oversee labels, trims, packaging, and
final product readiness
• Critical Path & Timeline Management – Maintain and manage timelines, proactively
resolving delays and risks
• Logistics & Delivery – Coordinate shipping and logistics to ensure on-time delivery
Ideal Candidate:
• 3–5 years’ experience in product development and production within fashion or a
related industry
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment, able to take ownership and
adapt quickly
• Highly organised with strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Based in London or Manchester – but open to remote working, with the ability to travel to London
for fit sessions and key meetings
