Interim Procurement Manager
Location: South East (Hybrid)
Rate: £450 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract Length: 3–6 months
MRG is seeking an experienced Interim Procurement Manager to support a busy procurement function within a social housing organisation in the South East. This is a hands-on role leading end-to-end procurement activity, working closely with stakeholders to deliver compliant, value-driven outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver procurement projects across a range of categories
- Manage full tender processes, from specification development through to contract award
- Work with internal stakeholders to shape procurement strategies and ensure alignment with organisational objectives
- Ensure compliance with procurement legislation and internal governance requirements
- Drive value for money through effective supplier engagement, benchmarking, and contract arrangements
- Provide expert procurement and commercial advice across the business
Essential Requirements
- Recent procurement experience within a housing association or social housing environment
- Proven experience managing procurement projects through established frameworks
- Hands-on experience running compliant tender processes in line with PCR 2015 and/or the Procurement Act 2023
- Ability to independently lead complex procurement activity from end to end
