Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engineering strategies, goals and plans for the regional hire team that align with the company strategy
- Lead and manage the regional engineering team to ensure they have the necessary resources, tools and training to deliver projects and meet the company objectives
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations overseeing the development and implementation of appropriate engineering processes and procedures
- Monitor performance metrics to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards
- Work closely with the operational & sales teams to identify and address customer needs and develop technical solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations
- Collaborate with the wider company to identify emerging technologies, products and trends that may impact and develop strategies to incorporate these into our products and services
- Establish and maintain relationships with key customers, industry associations and other external stakeholders to promote Mabey Hires engineering capabilities and foster collaboration and innovation.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to the engineering teams and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are executed to the required quality standards.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets and resource allocation including recruitment and retention
- Continuously evaluate and improve engineering processes, technologies and practices to optimise performance, cost and customer satisfaction
What You Need
- Degree in civil or structural engineering or equivalent
- Strong technical knowledge of temporary woks solutions, including propping, formwork and groundworks.
- Experience of developing and implementing engineering strategies, policies and procedures
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management skills
- Full driving licence for travel to customer and internal sites.
