Global bank seeks VP, Counsel to join legal team. Role will focus on wide range of banking contracts.

Job Description

• Provide advice on various legal matters and perform legal review of contracts and other legal documents.
• Draft and review internal standard form documentation and manage the use of the standard form documentation.
• Manage and coordinate with external counsel when necessary.
• Assist with litigation and disputes, particularly on non-performing credit asset workouts.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and advise on legal risks associated with deals.
• Advise on the Bank’s legal issues, services and more.
• Assist with special projects as needed.

The Successful Applicant

• JD
• Admitted to NY State Bar
• Experience drafting and negotiating contracts for a bank, related to credit, financing transactions, commercial lending, loan documents, commercial credit documents, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Team player
• Fluency in Mandarin
