About us: HM Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS) is responsible for the administration of criminal, civil and family courts and tribunals in England and Wales and non‑devolved tribunals in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

About your role

Work alongside operational colleagues to deliver continuous improvement and change across tribunals in Scotland. Lead the delivery of change implementation across a portfolio of work, collaborating with central projects, change leads and regional operational leads to prepare the business for the impact of changes and manage and implement change safely.

Lead the planning and delivery of change activity, using the standard toolkit and frameworks to bridge between project and operational users and ensure activities are planned, supported, and delivered to enable the business to implement agreed change and realise business benefits.

Act as a champion for change, matrix‑manage change specialists, build change capability across the wider community using continuous improvement tools, align with the Government Online Skills Tool (GOST) and role‑model the use of standard change tools and templates.

Work as part of a regional change team deployed across the region in line with priorities and demand, reporting directly to the G7 Head of Regional Business Change.

About you

Hands‑on change agent able to lead and engage with people at all levels to affect delivery of change. Confident, effective communicator who can influence and engage with all stakeholders, actively role‑model the effective use of standardised tools and templates, build change capability and champion continuous improvement.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience and knowledge of delivering change in a challenging operational environment, including identifying and managing risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Demonstrable ability to use and promote Continuous Improvement tools and techniques to deliver business change initiatives and process improvement.
  • Strong leader capable of negotiating, persuading and influencing stakeholders across all levels.
  • Ability to resolve complex problems, analyse data, identify trends and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and conflict/resistance.
  • Experience building a network of colleagues and contacts to deliver local priorities and strategic objectives.

Location and Working Pattern

Based at Glasgow Tribunals Centre, with regular travel between venues across Scotland (Dundee, Aberdeen and Inverness) at least quarterly. Standard full‑time working hours are 37 per week; part‑time, flexible and job‑sharing arrangements possible under the MoJ Flexible Working policy.
