About the Role

Support NUVIA in all aspects of software development, leading new development projects for software applications and exploiting emerging technologies such as robotics and AI. Advance the company’s software development capabilities through innovative project delivery and maintain existing software and related infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement new software solutions for clients.
• Maintain existing software applications.
• Manage and report data from NUVIA software applications to internal and external customers.
• Support the infrastructure used to host NUVIA software applications.
• Identify emerging technologies and report findings to the Team Leader and Head of Products and Innovation.
• Add new software tools and techniques to the list of NUVIA capabilities through implementation and recommendation.
• Provide advice and share knowledge with the rest of the team.
• Build interdepartmental and customer relationships.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Act as a subject matter expert on software development.

Qualifications

• Science or IT related degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Works well as part of a small team.
• Flexible and willing to learn new skills.
• Has the ability to make strategic decisions.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to provide guidance at a senior level.
• Commercially astute.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of robotics, AI or emerging technologies.
• Experience in project management.
• Experience with cloud‑based platforms.
