Senior Design Engineer

Location: Newcastle

My client is seeking a skilled Senior Design Engineer to join its growing consultancy, delivering high-profile infrastructure and development projects across the UK.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead the delivery of Section 278 and Section 38 highway design projects.
• Manage project programmes, budgets and team resources.
• Prepare, review and approve technical designs and reports.
• Ensure compliance with DMRB, MCHW and local authority standards.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers.
• Liaise with clients, local authorities and key stakeholders.
• Support highway drainage design and contract documentation production.
• Promote innovation, quality and Health & Safety best practice.

What You’ll Need

• Experience delivering S278 and S38 highway schemes.
• Strong highway design and project management experience.
• Knowledge of DMRB and highway contracts.
• Experience with Causeway Flow PDS and Civil 3D.
• Previous experience managing and mentoring design teams.
