Our client is a well funded developer of pan-African energy assets. They are often the first movers in developing projects in countries or with new technology. Due to growth within the demand for their unique project delivery (not just a simple PPP, but creative, risk managed funding mechanisms which allow them to deploy first technologies and first of a kind projects in untested jurisdictions) they are now needing to expand their Business Development Team.
The role suits someone in their early career (3-5years exp) who has a track record of working on the African continent building infrastructure projects either in the energy, power, transmission and distribution, water or road environment. Key to success is a strong understanding of the entire development lifecycle with the ability to stay on top of many moving parts, while bringing a pragmatic approach to moving things along in what is often a slow and steady process.
The role supports two Directors and two senior Managers and will be key to the management of documentation, agreements. meeting schedules, risk register management, and brings either a commercial or engineering mindset.
