In the Evesham Neighbourhood Mental Health Team (NMHT) we strive to improve the mental health and wellbeing of our local communities. We have incorporated a huddle into the daily functioning of the team which enables us to be focused on the recovery of the patient through a multidisciplinary approach, with expertise from doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, support workers and psychological therapies staff.

Responsibilities

  • Work as a key member and resource of the MDT core team.
  • Design and deliver evidence-based recovery focused mental health interventions and groups.
  • Manage a blended caseload of common mental health disorders and severe mental illness patients.
  • Attend weekly MDT meetings, professional meetings and signpost to adjunct services as needed.
  • Build relationships with Primary Care, partner agencies and wider mental health services.

Qualifications and experience

  • Registered qualification in mental health nursing, occupational therapy or social work.
  • Experience working with this user group in community settings.
  • Knowledge of delivering psychoeducation within a group environment and 1:1 settings.
  • Ability to work flexibly as the needs of the service demand.
