We areseekingahighly skilled and experienced professionalto join our team as the Cyclical Highway Maintenance Leadresponsible for all routine and cyclical highway maintenance programmes.

Thismaintenance programiscentred aroundthe belowtheme:

  • Drainage and winter maintenance;Ensuring our drains and gulleys arewell managedandmaintainedthrough regular checks and clearances. Ensuring effective response to winter demands, including the gritting operation and effective response to storm and floods.

In this role, you will be accountable for ensuring the highway network is managed andmaintainedin a safe manner and ensuring that the lifespan of highways assets is maximised.

About you

We are seeking an exceptional leader with a deep understanding of highways maintenance.

With a strong background in civil engineering, infrastructure, or a related discipline, you bring a wealth of experience in leading services within a large and dynamic organisation.

You will be passionate about delivering high-quality, customer-focused services that make a tangible difference to communities.

Your knowledge of highways, project management techniques, construction, and drainage & winter or green infrastructure maintenance is informed by industry best practice, national standards, experience and design guides.

You will combine technical expertise with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, enabling you to inspire teams, build strong partnerships, and drive continuous improvement.

You thrive in collaborative environments and leading others whilst incorporating a culture of accountability, professionalism and excellence.
