For their electro-optical sensors group in Edinburgh, they seek an IC Validation Engineer with expertise in either Mixed Signal IP Validation or Top-Level System Validation.
In this role you will:
- Develop and execute validation plans for IP blocks and subsystems
- Collaborate with design and verification teams to ensure successful IP validation
- Carry out testing, simulation, and analysis to verify functionality and performance
- Debug design and performance issues and communicate findings to the design team
- Develop automation tools and scripts to improve validation efficiency
- Support successful tape-out of analog IP blocks
You will build deep semiconductor expertise and gain exposure to highly complex mixed-signal semiconductor products. You’ll enjoy stable employment, a supportive team of colleagues, with opportunities to learn across different products and international sites.
Requirements include:
- BSc / MSc degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- A number of years’ industry experience in mixed signal IP validation
- A strong understanding of circuit design and validation methodologies
- Advanced knowledge of laboratory instruments and equipment
- Experience with industry-standard simulation tools (LTspice, eDesignSuite)
- Proficiency in Python and Perl for automation and scripting tasks.
