Our client is one of the world’s most respected semiconductor manufacturers serving hundreds of thousands of customers across automotive, industrial, and smart-device markets. For their electro-optical sensors group in Edinburgh, they seek an IC Validation Engineer with expertise in either Mixed Signal IP Validation or Top-Level System Validation.

In this role you will:

  • Develop and execute validation plans for IP blocks and subsystems
  • Collaborate with design and verification teams to ensure successful IP validation
  • Carry out testing, simulation, and analysis to verify functionality and performance
  • Debug design and performance issues and communicate findings to the design team
  • Develop automation tools and scripts to improve validation efficiency
  • Support successful tape-out of analog IP blocks

You will build deep semiconductor expertise and gain exposure to highly complex mixed-signal semiconductor products. You’ll enjoy stable employment, a supportive team of colleagues, with opportunities to learn across different products and international sites.

Requirements include:

  • BSc / MSc degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • A number of years’ industry experience in mixed signal IP validation
  • A strong understanding of circuit design and validation methodologies
  • Advanced knowledge of laboratory instruments and equipment
  • Experience with industry-standard simulation tools (LTspice, eDesignSuite)
  • Proficiency in Python and Perl for automation and scripting tasks.
