Head of Quality – South Birmingham

Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Quality team, enhancing capability and performance
- Drive improvements across Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC) and Continuous Improvement (CI)
- Establish robust yet flexible quality systems to support growth and operational efficiency
- Embed a culture of quality excellence across the site
- Act as a key interface with customers, ensuring high levels of confidence, communication and compliance
- Support operational and strategic initiatives to enable business expansion
- Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Background within highly regulated manufacturing industries (e.g. construction, aerospace, oil and gas or similar complex supply chains)
- Proven leadership experience managing teams of 7 or more
- Strong technical foundation within engineering
- Demonstrated expertise across QA, QC and Continuous Improvement methodologies
- Confident engaging with customers and representing the business externally
- A growth mindset with the ability to challenge the status quo
- Willingness and ability to travel as required
A well-established, globally recognised engineering and manufacturing business operating within a technical, assembly-led environment from their flagship South Birmingham site.
Reporting into the Operations Director, the Head of Quality will lead a team of 7 and be instrumental in developing and embedding a modern, agile quality framework.
This is a site-based role in South Birmingham with travel required as part of the position.
