About the Role
NHS Dumfries & Galloway, Community Directorate, is recruiting two highly motivated nursing professionals for the Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) posts. The role is part of the development of the Community ANP model and supports the continued growth of the ANP team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver care across various community sites including Home Teams, Urgent Care, Community Hospital settings, and the Out of Hours Service.
- Participate in a 23‑month fixed‑term training programme that combines academic study and supervised practice.
- Travel independently to the different sites.
- Work collaboratively with the ANP team to improve community healthcare delivery.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Registered nurse or equivalent nursing qualification.
- Desirable community nursing experience.
- Commitment to completing a postgraduate diploma in Advanced Practice with independent prescribing.
- Ability to sign a bonding agreement to remain with NHS Dumfries & Galloway for at least two years following training.
