Overview

Reporting to the Head of the Clinical Effectiveness Programme (CEP), the postholder will lead the analytical and information management function for the programme. They will embed systematic improvement processes across North West London, working with Federations, PCNs, and GP practices to deliver high-quality data analysis, intelligence products, and insights that support population health management, quality improvement, and the reduction of unwarranted variation. The role is primarily focused on NWL but its approaches and service developments may be extended across the wider West North London ICB geography where appropriate. The role requires expert analytical skills, strong leadership, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable intelligence for clinicians, programme leads, and system partners.

The postholder will work closely with the Whole Systems Integrated Care (WSIC) team, borough-based clinical leads, and primary care networks to ensure robust, timely, and accurate information supports effective decision-making. The overarching objectives for delivering accessible and robust data and intelligence are to support: the prioritisation and targeting of quality improvement support to primary care; the engagement and empowerment of practices and PCN representatives to deliver high‑quality care; and the evaluation and continuous improvement of the CEP.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, delivery and continuous improvement of CEP analytical methodologies, reporting and intelligence products
  • Ensure analytical outputs meet agreed quality, governance and timeliness standards and support improvement at practice, PCN and borough levels
  • Oversee the lifecycle of CEP data products, from design to evaluation and iteration
  • Provide specialist analytical advice to clinicians, programme leads and system partners, ensuring insights are actionable and aligned to system priorities
  • Ensure analytical work identifies inequalities and supports targeted improvement
