We’re looking for a Senior Technical Programme Manager to lead high-priority, technically complex workstreams in a fast-moving, iterative environment.
You’ll be joining a lean, passionate Technical Programme Management team that sits at the heart of how Depop operates. We drive cross-functional initiatives, embed operational excellence, and partner closely with brilliant teams across the business to help them deliver with speed and confidence – reducing friction, managing risk, and clearing the path to impact.
This role has real breadth. You’ll own strategic and enablement workstreams that touch every part of the business, working alongside senior leadership and teams from product and engineering to marketing and operations.
Responsibilities
- Drive accountability and clarity of priorities across your workstreams to ensure the timely realisation of value by enabling strategic, data-driven, decision-making
- Take a user centric approach, ensuring your workstreams are set-up for success with the most appropriate reporting cadences, touchpoints, tools and approaches
- Collaborate seamlessly and proactively across the company to identify and track timelines and dependencies, mitigate risks and issues and build clear lines of communication across teams
- Guide and support your workstreams through our lightweight quarterly and annual reflections and objective setting processes
- Identify and iteratively improve our lean operational processes, tools and guardrails to enable the business to efficiently collaborate, plan and deliver
- Craft and share high quality communications that succinctly deliver key messages to broad audiences including senior executives
- Help leadership align priorities across the organisation to create more significant impact and ensure clarity of focus for teams in your workstreams
- Apply your in-depth knowledge of lean product & technical operations to facilitate, coach and share learnings which empower teams to iteratively improve their ways of working and deliver more effectively
- Contribute to the Internal Ops Community of Practice where we share insights, reflections, approaches, and learnings
Requirements
- You have considerable technical programme management experience, with a consistent track record in leading complex technical workstreams, ensuring alignment and resolving dependencies and conflicts swiftly and amicably
- You have excellent stakeholder management, influencing and relationship building skills, which you use to ensure visibility and collaboration across technical and functional boundaries
- You have exceptional communication skills, and can tailor your message to suit your audience’s needs (who may or may not be technical), using empathy and active listening to read situations quickly
- You’re adept at driving accountability, and have strong command skills, you’re not afraid to take challenging stances with senior stakeholders
- You are user and business value driven, with hands on experience collaboratively scoping, kicking off and delivering programmes, articulating what success looks like, why it looks like that and how to measure it
- You are adept at working in ambiguity and can identify, surface and resolve risks and uncertainty
- You’re highly organised and proactive and able to use your understanding of agile/lean tools and techniques to problem-solve and optimise cross-functional systems and processes
- Approachable with advanced skills in facilitation, coaching and mediation, you’ll have a natural talent for working with others and creating the space for strategic and timely decision-making
- You have a growth mindset and actively seek and give feedback as well as ways to share findings with your peers
- You have high technical and product literacy, you’re able to keep up with technical discussions in support of the overall project outcomes
Nice to have
- Experience working as a consultant, or in a fast paced, product scale up environment
- You’re an innovative problem solver, with an instinct for spotting opportunities and synergies
