Camphill Community Glencraig is currently recruiting for the following vacancy:

Childrens Residential Worker (26/29/CRW/WEB)

We are currently recruiting for Child Residential Workers whose purpose is to provide the highest possible standard of support and care to children and/or young people with disabilities and challenging behaviour who reside within our Childrens Home. Our model of care is Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). This role will at times call for an element of personal care.

The children require access to a wide range of scheduled activities, including crafts, play, sensory activities, lots of outdoor play, access to individual stimming items, helping around the house, various games, songs, baking, playing in the park, long walks around the community, trips out, drives in the car, dancing.

Salary: £28,691- £30,292 per annum.

Enhanced pay rate for weekends between 7am and 10pm and Waking Nights.

Hours of Work: 38 hours per week (full time) Fully flexible to include unsocial hours, evenings, and weekends.

Contract: Permanent

Closing date: 4pm Monday 6th July 2026

Essential Criteria:

Accredited NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Care Related subject e.g. Health and Social Care, Early Years, or similar

Basic Numeracy and literacy (English language) skills

Registered or Agreeable to applying with the N. Ireland Social Care Council

At least six months experience working with children OR adults with a learning disability and complex needs.

Be flexible to work on a rota basis that may include unsocial hours and weekends.

Desirable Criteria:

Degree level qualification in Health/Social Sciences/Youth Work/Social Work

Experience in education or health & social care setting

Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support and awareness of autism spectrum disorder
