  • Carrying out service, maintenance, inspection and repair work on heavy plant and earthmoving machinery
  • Diagnosing faults across mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and diesel engine systems

  • Completing job reports, service records and warranty paperwork accurately and on time
  • Liaising with customers professionally and ensuring a high standard of service
  • Working closely with depot support teams, parts teams and technical support
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with manufacturer standards
  • Maintaining clean, safe and professional working conditions on customer sites

The Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Experience as a Field Service Engineer, Plant Fitter, Mobile Plant Engineer, Workshop Engineer, Agricultural Engineer, HGV Technician or similar
  • A background working on heavy plant, earthmoving machinery, construction equipment, agricultural machinery, HGVs or similar equipment
  • Strong mechanical knowledge, ideally with hydraulics, electrics and diesel engines
  • Good diagnostic and fault-finding ability
  • A recognised apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent engineering qualification would be beneficial
  • A flexible approach to travel across a regional patch
  • Strong customer-facing skills
  • Full UK driving licence

The Package

  • Hourly rate up to £20.04 per hour, depending on experience
  • Enhanced overtime: x1.5 for the first 4 hours, x2 thereafter
  • Permanent role with a leading manufacturer
  • Manufacturer training and ongoing development
  • Secure, progressive working environment
  • Opportunity to work on high-quality heavy plant and earthmoving equipment
  • Company benefits package

This is a great opportunity for an engineer looking to join a well-established manufacturer offering stability, training, overtime and long-term development.
