Project Manager – Rail & Civil Engineering
London & Home Counties | Outside IR35 | Long-Term Opportunity

Due to continued growth, repeat business, and a strong pipeline of new projects, we are seeking a Project Manager to join our expanding team, delivering rail and utility infrastructure projects across London and the Home Counties.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple civil engineering projects with values of up to approximately £2 million.
You will be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, including:
- Planning and programming works
- Cost control and commercial awareness
- Resource allocation and project delivery
- Client and stakeholder management
- Site coordination and project reporting
- Attending client and progress meetings
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
About You
We are particularly interested in ambitious Project Managers who are eager to progress and develop their careers.
Essential Requirements
- Experience delivering civil engineering projects within the rail sector
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating as a Project Manager
- Good understanding of the project lifecycle from planning through to delivery
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and understand construction methodologies
- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
- SMSTS certification
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering
- PRINCE2 qualification
- Experience working for Tier 1 contractor
- Experience delivering utility, infrastructure, or power-related projects with rail interfaces
