Job Description:

TEXO Recruitment are sourcing for a FM Contracts Manager (Working) on behalf of our external client. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the effective day-to-day delivery, commercial performance, and ongoing growth of our clients Facilities Management division. This position combines on-site trade work with the management of multi-disciplinary FM contracts, client relationships, and field-based teams.

This is a pivotal role at a key stage in the division’s development. The successful candidate will be a commercially aware, proactive individual who can introduce structure, drive accountability, and support operational delivery, while also identifying opportunities to expand the division’s contract portfolio.

This is a 3/1 rotation where travel and accommodation is provided.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Delivery & Site Management

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee the daily delivery of FM contracts across multiple active sites
  • Work hands-on alongside the team as required to support service delivery and uphold standards
  • Ensure all works are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Manage subcontractors and specialist suppliers engaged across FM contracts
  • Maintain accurate site records, including job sheets and completion documentation
  • Carry out regular site inspections and quality assurance checks across all contracts

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Provide direct supervision and day-to-day management of FM trades personnel
  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development of field-based staff
  • Set clear expectations for performance, behaviour, and safe working practices
  • Coordinate workforce scheduling and resource allocation across active contracts
  • Act as the first point of escalation for field-based issues and client queries

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an FM, building services, or multi-trade environment in a supervisory or management capacity
  • Electrical Trade-qualified
  • Demonstrable ability to manage multiple contracts concurrently with competing priorities
  • Commercial acumen — able to read, manage, and improve contract margins
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • Valid UK driving licence
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
