Salary: £50,784.36 Basic + Standby Payments + Overtime + Bonus Opportunities

We are currently recruiting for a Refrigeration Engineer to join a leading facilities and refrigeration maintenance provider, working across a prestigious retail contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer seeking a stable role with strong earning potential through standby payments, overtime, and additional performance incentives.

The Role

As a Refrigeration Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on commercial refrigeration equipment
• Diagnosing and repairing faults on refrigeration systems, cold rooms, integral cabinets, and associated plant
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with F‑Gas regulations and health & safety standards
• Responding to breakdowns and emergency call‑outs when required
• Maintaining accurate service records and reports
• Building strong working relationships with site teams and customers
• Participating in the on‑call rota

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2/3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent
• Valid F‑Gas Category 1 Certification
• Proven experience working on commercial refrigeration systems
• Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience within retail, supermarket, or commercial environments desirable
• Full UK Driving Licence

Package & Benefits

• Basic Salary: £50,784.36 per annum (Based on a 45‑hour working week)
• Standby Allowance: 1 in 4 on‑call rota – £195 per standby week
• Overtime paid where applicable
• Additional On‑Call Cover: Engineers who provide additional weekend on‑call cover will receive: £150 per individual weekend day covered; Overtime paid at standard rates for any call‑outs attended
