A growing and forward-thinking law firm in South Manchester is looking to recruit a Head of Private Client to establish, develop and lead a brand-new department.
This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious and commercially minded individual — whether you are a Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or highly experienced Paralegal.

The Role
You will lead the creation and growth of the Private Client department, with responsibilities including:
Establishing processes, systems and workflows from the ground up
Managing and developing a broad private client caseload
Acting as a key point of contact for clients and referrers
Driving departmental growth and long-term strategy
Supporting future team expansion and recruitment
This is a hands-on leadership role offering real autonomy and influence.
Typical Caseload
You will handle a varied and evolving caseload, including:
Drafting Wills and estate planning
Probate and estate administration
Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
Trusts and estate structuring (depending on experience)
Court of Protection work (desirable but not essential)
There is flexibility to shape and grow the offering based on your background and interests.
About You
We are keen to speak with candidates who:
Are a Solicitor, Legal Executive or experienced Paralegal with strong private client experience
Can confidently manage their own caseload and client relationships
Have a commercial mindset and are excited by the opportunity to build a department
Are organised, proactive and client-focused
Are looking for a long-term leadership opportunity
