Industrial Mechanical Fitter/Engineer – Role Overview

Are you looking for a role in a supportive environment where you can develop your skills? We are looking for a proven Mechanical Engineer to join our Design & Delivery Team as an Industrial Mechanical Fitter/Engineer.
Key Duties
- Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and maintenance of equipment.
- Perform pipe fitting tasks, install and align pumps, motors, and other mechanical components.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Prepare detailed reports on installation, maintenance, and repair activities.
Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine project requirements and develop installation plans.
Qualifications
- Competent in reading and understanding mechanical drawings and identifying installation solutions.
- Time‑served Mechanical Engineer (pipe fitter) educated to at least ONC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
- Demonstrated installation and/or maintenance background.
- Able to manage time efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Full UK manual driving licence.

- Potential to receive payment for up to 4 Technical Modules (extra salary for extra skills). £1,500 per module per year with expectation that each technician will achieve a minimum of 2 modules within 3 years.
