A high-growth enterprise software company is seeking an experienced Account Executive to join its UK sales team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in expanding the company’s presence across the UK market, focusing on acquiring new customers within mid-market and enterprise organisations.
To be considered for this role, candidates must have a proven track record of successfully selling procurement-focused SaaS solutions into mid-market and enterprise organisations. This experience is a key requirement, as the successful candidate will be engaging with procurement, finance, operations, and transformation leaders to drive strategic technology investments.
The Opportunity
As an Account Executive, you will own the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close. Working closely with marketing, sales development, and solution consulting teams, you will identify, engage, and convert high-value prospects across a range of industries.
This role is ideally suited to a consultative sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and has experience selling procurement technology, source-to-pay, procure-to-pay, spend management, supplier management, or related enterprise SaaS solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business revenue across mid-market and enterprise accounts throughout the UK.
- Develop and execute strategic territory and account plans.
- Identify, qualify, and progress opportunities through complex sales cycles.
- Build relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers across procurement, finance, operations, and technology functions.
- Lead discovery sessions to understand customer challenges, objectives, and requirements.
- Coordinate internal resources including solution consultants, customer success, and leadership teams throughout the sales process.
- Deliver compelling presentations, demonstrations, and business cases.
- Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline management within CRM systems.
- Consistently achieve and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
Essential Requirements
- Proven success in a quota-carrying Account Executive role within a SaaS environment.
- Demonstrable experience successfully selling procurement SaaS solutions into mid-market and enterprise customers.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, spend management, supplier lifecycle management, sourcing, contract management, procure-to-pay, or related procurement technology domains.
- Experience engaging procurement leaders, Chief Procurement Officers, finance executives, and transformation stakeholders.
- Track record of winning new business and consistently exceeding revenue targets.
- Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles.
- Strong consultative, value-based selling and commercial negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and executive-level presentation abilities.
- Ability to operate independently within a remote-first environment.
Highly Desirable
- Experience selling procurement orchestration, intake management, workflow automation, source-to-pay, procure-to-pay, spend management, supplier management, or adjacent procurement technologies.
- Familiarity with MEDDPICC, Challenger, Command of the Message, or similar sales methodologies.
- Experience closing six-figure and multi-year SaaS agreements.
- Background working within high-growth or venture-backed technology companies.
