About the Company

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Responsible Individual (RI) to provide strategic oversight and governance across three children’s residential homes supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). The service consists of two 2-bed homes in Cannock and one 1-bed home in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity for a high-calibre leader to work alongside an established management team, ensuring regulatory compliance, driving quality standards, and supporting the delivery of exceptional care and outcomes for children and young people.

About the Role

Responsible Individual – Children’s Residential Services

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective oversight and governance across all three homes
  • Support Registered Managers to achieve and maintain high standards of care and compliance
  • Monitor performance, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements
  • Lead on service improvement plans and quality development
  • Ensure children and young people’s needs remain at the centre of service delivery
  • Maintain positive relationships with external professionals and regulatory bodies

Qualifications

  • Minimum Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager within children’s residential care

Required Skills

  • Proven track record of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted inspection outcomes
  • Strong working knowledge of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
  • Experience of supporting, mentoring, and developing Registered Managers
  • Demonstrable experience of improving service quality and driving positive outcomes for children and young people
  • Excellent understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and regulatory compliance
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with Ofsted, local authorities, placing authorities, and other stakeholders
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between services

Pay range

Pay: £70,000.00-£80,000.00 per year
