Non-Executive Director: AI, Data & Cyber Strategy

The National Physical Laboratory (NPL) is seeking a non-executive director responsible for overseeing digital transformation, AI, and cyber security initiatives. The successful candidate will contribute strategic insights and challenge the board on technological and governance issues while ensuring alignment with NPL’s public purpose.

The role requires significant leadership experience and a deep understanding of technology risk and governance. The position includes an annual remuneration of £13,500 plus expenses, with meetings held four to five times a year at NPL’s Teddington headquarters.
