Our onboarding process starts with a friendly conversation. All our engineers must have their own insurance and have their equipment calibrated at least once a year. In return, we provide an engineer handbook, contract for services, branded clothing, labels, and technical support.

Job Description
We are looking for engineers to join our team in Lynton and Lynmouth. The role offers flexible hours and can be part-time or full-time. Candidates must be able to commute to Lynton and Lynmouth or a closer area.
As a PAT Engineer you will perform portable appliance testing at a variety of sites, from hospitals to retail outlets. You will use testing instruments to verify electrical safety, record results in a dedicated test report book or electronic system, and provide completion certificates. You must keep all equipment up-to-date and in good working order.
Potential earnings are on a pro-rate basis, depending on the rate per appliance, number of tests and job dynamics. Jobs range from one-day projects to long-term contracts.
A typical day of a PAT Engineer
Typical days involve traveling between sites, packing tools, testing appliances (microwaves, kettles, computers, etc.), explaining results to users, recording findings, completing paperwork, and staying organised. The role is physically and mentally demanding but rewarding, offering variety and opportunities for advancement.
