Based in South England this company is at the forefront of technology development for instrumentation in various industrial sectors. Their products are utilised by a number of industrial OEMs for chemical analysis.
Responsibilities: direct involvement in the mechanical design of the company’s product line; concept design, innovative design, DFM, DFMEA, injection moulding, stress analysis (FEA), thermal analysis and problem solving. Delivering projects within time constraints is also important.
Qualifications: Minimum 10 years design experience in small components or mechanisms. Proficiency with leading 3D CAD systems such as SolidWorks, Pro/Engineer, Unigraphics, Solid Edge, AutoCAD, etc. Strong knowledge of design for manufacturing, design for reliability, injection moulding, stress and thermal analysis.
Preferred: Experience with small mechanisms and ability to work independently. Must live in South East England, Hampshire, Hants, Winchester, Petersfield, Farnborough, Southampton, Portsmouth, Waterlooville, Chichester, Bognor Regis, West Sussex and Surrey or be willing to relocate.
