The Role

Due to retirement after 26 years, we are looking to appoint an Office Manager.

Ilmington C of E Primary School is a small, rural school, situated on the edge of the Cotswolds, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Nestled between the towns of Stratford-Upon-Avon and Chipping Campden, Ilmington School has a lot to offer. We are a caring and friendly team with strong links to our Church and the local community. We are a forward-thinking, collaborative and enthusiastic staff who work hard to develop an environment where children are nurtured, challenged and encouraged.

The role of the Office Manager is diverse and varied. The role will include providing a warm and welcoming presence in the school office and to support the leadership in the organisation, management and oversight of the school’s finances, personnel, premises and administrative functions.

Qualifications

  • A good standard of education
  • Experience of office administration
  • Experience of financial management preferably, but not exclusively, in a school
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written
  • Commitment and adaptability
  • The ability to confidently accept responsibility and work independently as well as collaboratively with other staff
  • The skill to remain calm under pressure, to prioritise and work to deadlines
  • Willingness to value and respect the needs of children
  • An ability to build excellent relationships with all stakeholders
  • Confidentiality

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading on financial matters within the school, preparing balanced budgets and assisting in the financial planning process in conjunction with Warwickshire Education Finance team
  • Leading on the day to day running of the school office
  • Managing payroll, staff contracts, supply staff and associate records
  • Leading on data protection
  • Management of service contracts, safe site maintenance and health and safety systems
  • Management of pupil records and transfers
  • Progression of systems to aid the continual development of the school

Working Pattern

  • Part time – 24 hours. Monday, Tuesday 8.00am – 4.00pm, Wednesday, Thursday 9.00am – 1.00pm
